Insurance & certification

Evidence that survives a loss adjuster, a trustee meeting and a neighbour dispute.

A leak claim rarely fails because of the water. It fails because nobody can prove where the water came from, or which line was responsible. Our reports close that gap.

REYDS field instrumentation

Inside the report

Six sections, in the order an adjuster reads them.

Scope and method

Which systems were isolated, which instruments were used, and why that method was appropriate for the reported loss.

Photographic evidence

Dated photographs of the visible symptoms, the thermal images, and the failure point once exposed.

Readings and measurements

Pressure test results before and after, moisture content at the affected areas, and meter movement with times.

Finding and causation

A plain statement of what failed, where it sits, and whether the cause is age, installation, ground movement or impact.

Repair certification

Confirmation that the repair was pressure-tested and reinstated, with the date and the technician responsible.

Responsibility statement

For shared walls and sectional title: which line failed and whose responsibility it falls under, per the scheme’s rules.

Report and claim questions

Most South African insurers and loss adjusters accept a report that documents method, readings, photographs and a clear finding. We write to that standard and will speak directly to your adjuster if they need clarification on the detection method.
